Thursday, November 22, 2018 – Adoration

Gratitude exclaims… ‘How good of God to give me this.’ Adoration says, ‘What must be the quality of that Being whose far-off and momentary coruscations are like this!’ One’s mind runs back up the sunbeam to the sun.”

C.S. Lewis, Letters to Malcolm: Chiefly on Prayer

I get a little absorbed reading about debate and differences, us-vs-them, and thinking about my truth in light of it all.

And a whisper comes by way of a letter written by a man named Paul to a people in a land once called Galatia: faith, expressed through love. That’s the thing that matters.

I think about that love, and how nothing can dispute the way it fell on me. I know what I know.

And my thoughts go up the sunbeam . . .
