A Busy Day in the Parent/Grandparent-hood

I’m tired in a good way after a busy Saturday with Gerry and the girls.

To start the day, Laurinda and I went to the park to walk and enjoy mother-daughter conversation.

Then the four of us went bowling—and I was excruciatingly bad.

We went to a nearby lake where the girls had a swim, Murphy decided lake swimming isn’t for him after his first encounter, and we were surprised to see our neighbours there also enjoying the beautiful day.

Chinese take-out for supper, another episode of America’s Got Talent, and these grandparents were done in.

The girls will head home today. The grandparents may take a nap.

Hearts full. Cherishing memories until next time.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.
