It’s going to be another discombobulated week. Our girls left for home late yesterday morning, and today is another Tuesday that feels like Monday.

I’m covered in mosquito bites as a result of girl’s hot tub time on Sunday evening, and sporting an impressive purple bruise the size of a large grapefruit that remains a cautionary tale about why you don’t step over the dog fence but use the gate instead.

It’s going to be a hot one; I’ll switch on the air conditioner for the first time this year. The garden is in need of mulching and I want to plant more lettuce and other salad things in the spots where we’ve already harvested, but that will have to wait until tomorrow. I have condiment things to do this morning (Remember? Ketchup = catch up.) and a coffee date this afternoon.

This week will seem like another short one and I’ve got commitments most days. I’m already looking forward to next weekend! Funny that.

Meanwhile, we carry on.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.
