It’s 10:00 am. This morning I have:
- prayed
- laughed
- enjoyed a quiet cup of coffee when I was the only one awake in the house
- taken a shower and gotten dressed
- made the bed
- talked with Gerry about something important
- talked with Makiya about other important things
- blanched and froze green beans
- offered suggestions on what to take to school for lunch
- said “no” to a half-hearted ask for a ride to school
- lost a chess game
- put dishes in the dishwasher
- ground coffee and filled reusable Keurig pods
- cuddled dogs
- settled the littlest dog in a bed next to where I was working in the kitchen
- given treats to dogs
- sent an e-transfer to the dog groomer
- sent a couple of emails
- deleted a LOT of emails
- made inquiries
- stood at the window captivated by bright yellow fall mums on the back deck
- hugged my husband
- decided what to make for dinner
- firmed up afternoon plans to get he pups to the groomer and back and Makiya to theatre
- watered the sunflowers on my dining table
- fed the dogs
- given Murphy his meds
- sipped a lukewarm mug of coffee (still sipping)
- checked in on the judging for a poetry competition I’m coordinating for Story Circle Network
- enjoyed the silence
- enjoyed the noise
- watch smoke curl out of a neighbour’s chimney
- folded a sweatshirt that I restored to its former white glory and put it on Makiya’s bed
- doled out three sets of vitamins and taken said vitamins
- tossed laundry in the washer
- made the bed
- felt content
- groaned inwardly when my MacBook told me it needs to be plugged into a power outlet
- tiptoed from the room to avoid waking a sleeping dog (it didn’t work)
- put a piece of paper on the kitchen counter so I won’t forget to take it with me when I take Makiya to theatre
- written a blog post

I am fascinated by this post…where did the number 41 come from? I apologize for not catching the explanation if you provided it in another post.
What a beautiful way to recognize all we do in short periods of time.
No special significance to the number 41. I was trying to go for 50 but had to quit to move on to other things!
LOL! Thank you for the answer..and I love this explanation.
