“Look!  Nature is overflowing with the grandeur of God!”

~ John Muir

Yesterday, I shared a simple image of a flower from an onion I had deliberately let go to seed. Today I’m getting up close with that same flower. Isn’t it unique? Kind of space-like? Or maybe reminiscent of an undersea coral? What does it look like to you?

Its going to be another hot day here. I’m going to play with my camera this morning and enjoy a coffee visit with a friend this afternoon. Simple pleasures.

(Don’t forget every comment on the blog in August enters your name into the drawing for either a copy of the beautiful Bella Grace magazine or my book Two Hearts: An Adoptee’s Journey Through Grief to Gratitude.)

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.

  1. I don’t remember if I commented on this photo yesterday, but I was thinking the same thing, that it looks like something in the deep sea. I love the chalky white color. Your photos are just incredible, I keep saying that, but really, are you going to print any of them to sell? Prepare an exhibit? They’re GOOD!

    1. Karen, thank you so much for your encouragement. I’m having a lot of fun with photography and learning so much! I have thought about selling prints or cards at some point. We’ll see. For now I’m really enjoying the creative process. ?

  2. It’s hard to believe this is from an onion! Just beautiful…

    1. Amazing, isn’t it?!
