“All I have seen teaches me to trust the Creator for all I have not seen.”

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Tired this morning after a very long day yesterday. My girls have gone home, Gerry has returned, and it’s time to ease back into life. I will carry treasured memories of the past week in my heart always.

A text message received late yesterday, a harsh reminder of how life can change in a the blink of an eye. While there is much (so much!) joy at times in this life, it is still a broken and imperfect world.

We’re all scarred and battle weary to some extent. We celebrate in seasons of jubilation and struggle through times of grief when the weight feels almost too heavy to bear.

So we walk by faith, in gratitude and expectation, trusting that the Creator holds us tenderly in the palm of His hand whether we feel it or not.

We trust, and we know, that we are abundantly loved.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things.
