“That is one good thing about this world . . . there are always sure to be more springs.”

~ L.M. Montgomery

I dread looking out the window in the morning for fear of seeing how much snow accumulated overnight. I’m hearing rumours of a warming trend next week so maybe, if we can just get through this weekend forecasted to be another snowy and wintry mix, spring will burst forth.

I’m looking forward to a road trip tomorrow to see my granddaughter dance. Not so much looking forward to the drive. The weather forecast seems to change by the hour but snow seems certain–here and there.

I realized earlier that I’ve fallen away from keeping my Simple Happy list. The six-hour drive will give me ample time to contemplate all that is lovely in the world and will also be a perfect time to pray for people and circumstances–all culminating with time to spend with those I love. I’ll do it all again on Sunday afternoon and then, I hope, it will be spring.

That’s the hope I’m clinging to, anyway. Happy Friday. Happy weekend.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.

  1. have a safe trip.

  2. One of my greatest joys is to see my grands, mostly in sports, perform. I’m always so pleased to be there when a goal or hit is made and when one of them says, “Did you see that?” And I can say “YES!” I’m so fortunate that I can be near them and see them in their activities pretty much whenever I want.
