“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.
~ Charles Dickens, Great Expectations
It’s go time in the garden! We are going to prepare the beds this afternoon.
The spinach I planted last fall in my community garden plot is growing and, I expect, underneath the straw mulch so is the garlic–we’ll find out today. Peas will go in the ground tomorrow after an overnight soak. Chives are growing in the raised bed in our back yard and I’m going to plant more spinach and lettuce this afternoon.
Under the lights in the den, the tomatoes are getting their true leaves and the peppers are getting close to getting theirs. How wonderful it is to get growing again!
There are a couple of other projects on the go in the woman cave.
I’m busy putting the finishing touches on a brand new Etsy shop (https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/LindaHoyePhotography) scheduled to open in early April where I’ll be offering prints of some of my photos.
I’m working on a small ebook that marries words and photos in a celebration of the beautiful complexities of being a woman. I’ll be making it available as my gift to you here. Stay tuned!
So, as usual, there are a lot of things going on. Aside from all of this busyness are answers to prayer and much, much gratitude.
