“What is happening to me happens to all fruits that grow ripe. It is the honey in my veins that makes my blood thicker, and my soul quieter.”

~ Friedrich Nietzsche

I didn’t leave the house yesterday—well except to take Maya out and to spend a bit of time in the yard with my camera.  It seems like it’s been forever since I had the gift of an entire solitary day at home with nothing in particular to do, but lots to do all the same. It was absolutely delicious.

Soup simmering in the slow cooker.

October sunshine.
