“Strange how a teapot can represent at the same time the comforts of solitude and the pleasures of company.”

I’m smitten with this teapot I found at HomeSense recently. I find it so simple and, well, calming.

Thinking of, and praying for, the people in Florida this morning as the hurricane rages and it’s anything but calm.

We’re heading into Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada. I’m looking forward to family time and feasting on turkey and pie. How blessed we are.

Yesterday, a lovely drive to take in some of fall’s finest colours and a wonderful evening at the theatre.

Today, housework, coffee with my bestie, a bit of shopping, and planning for the weekend.

Happy Friday. May you find pockets of calm in your day.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.
