I’m very late to the post with my list of weekly favourite things because I’ve had a busy day. Some of the things that made it busy will likely show up in this list. Here we go!
Air Miles. When we returned to Canada in 2014, I reacquainted myself with the Air Miles program. No longer a frequent flyer, I wondered if there was anything there for me. This morning I bought over $200 worth of groceries (rising prices is a whole other story I won’t get into at this time) for about $70 thanks to redeeming miles. I don’t do a big grocery shop often and when I do I’ve usually accumulated enough miles to make a dent in the bill. This one was bigger than normal—which also means we’ve made more purchases of other things that allowed the accumulation. Whatever the reason, it was a good start to the day.
A grand morning. We were blessed to spend a few hours one morning this week with our other granddaughter (who doesn’t live with us). The three of us went bowling and, afterward, enjoyed the first soft ice cream cone of the year. It was a sweet time.
A turn in the weather. Finally! I got out in the backyard garden this morning and planted onions, radishes, and carrots, Earlier this week Gerry and I planted spinach and potatoes at the community garden. The forecast for the weekend is stellar (20C/68F on Sunday!) and there will be more seeds going in the ground tomorrow.
Fresh flowers on my dining table. They’re an indulgence I started in early 2020 when the world went made and have kept up with. I picked up bunches of pretty pink and white tulips (which have also increased in price) at the grocery store this morning.
The artwork of KR Moehr. I adore her dreamy abstract paintings. They’re the kind of art I’ve dreamed of learning to create myself so I signed up for some of her classes and am having the most fun with them. Here’s a painting I had fun working on this week.
One more? Can I add just one more favourite thing?
Floating. I enjoyed 90 minutes in the sensory deprivation tank yesterday and am reaping the PFG (post-float glow) rewards today. I also tried something new prior to the float—30 minutes in the Neurospa. The jury’s still out on that experience.
Hope you’ve all had a good week and, like me, are looking forward to a pleasant weekend.

Sounds like a full and happy week! Rejoicing with you in all your faves.
Loving the spring here in NY and I’m guessing you are too with those tulips and gardening. The granddaughter date sounds like it was a lot of fun. Happy Weekend!
Sounds like a good week and I love your painting.
