It’s been a good week. An up-and-down one, but one rich with good things.
Grandchildren. At the top of the list is an afternoon spent with two of our grandchildren. They live in another province and we haven’t seen them since before the pandemic was declared. We enjoyed a good, good, long overdue visit.
Lattice. Over two mo this ago we started the process of getting HOA/strata approval, deciding on an approach, and finding someone to install lattice on our back deck where tall cedars once provided privacy. It’s finally up and I’m thrilled with how it looks. I’m going to grow fragrant sweet peas on it and expect it will look (and smell!) so pretty!
A radish. Or two or three or more. The harvest began this week! I’m eyeing the spinach and expecting we’ll enjoy the first spring salad this weekend. Let the season of garden feasting commence!
Good news. Maya had a surgical procedure last week and we received the pathology results this week. Benign. What a sweet, sweet word.
Egg salad sandwiches for supper. Why not? They’re a favourite around here and, since Gerry started bringing home farm fresh eggs courtesy of one of his hiking friends, we enjoy them often.
We’re heading into a long weekend here in Canada. It’s the Victoria Day weekend, known casually as “May long”, and the unofficial start to summer. The weather is warming up, our yard projects are finished, and it’s backyard time!
Hope your week has been a good one too. Happy Friday!

Oh Happy Holiday Weekend! (ours is next weekend) Enjoy your trip!
Nothing is better than having your grandchildren around. Sweeet photos!
I like the idea of the sweet peas climbing that lattice! Now I want to add sweet peas to my list of flowers.
Oh how nice to be with your grandkids after so long! The lattice sounds lovely. It’s great to have produce coming up and farm fresh eggs. I’m thankful for that word benign.
what joy to finally see our grandkiddos again, yes! those gatherings will be the highlight of 2021! thank You, Lord.
How fun to be with tourmgramdchildren again!! Yay for backyard projects complete and fresh veggies! I hope you’re having a great weekend!!
