I’m feeling the weight of many things this week but there have been simple delights, nonetheless. Time for another edition of Friday’s Fave Five to shift my focus.
Spring colours. I continue to be mesmerized by different shades of green as tender young leaves fill out trees. I’m not sure why, but it all seems absolutely brilliant this year.
Caramel frappuccinos and iced caramel macchiatos. ‘Tis the season to enjoy a cold drink now and then.
Deliveries. Jigsaw puzzles, summer footwear, and art supplies. Ingredients for quiet days spent at home. And there are a lot of them again this year.
A talking crow. Yes. Really. For the second time in as many weeks I conversed with a crow who was standing on my neighbour’s chimney calling “hello!”. I haven’t lost my mind. Well, this doesn’t point to that, if I have. It’s a real thing. Google it!
Float therapy. It’s one of my favourite things. Add in the little arrangement Gerry and I worked out where he brings home dinner on float days and it’s a double delight!
Hope your week has been pleasant. We’re heading into a weekend of power outages on both Saturday and Sunday while BC Hydro does maintenance work. I don’t need electricity to read, garden, paint, or write, so I’m good. 🙂

It sounds like you’ve found a peaceful center to weather the heavier things, Linda. This spring has been especially green here, too, a nice reward for all the snow we had last month.
