“And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair”

~ Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet

The earth feeling my bare feet is a given whatever the season. The wind will have ample opportunity to play with my hair today by the looks of what’s happening outside this morning.

Taking Maya for her annual checkup this morning and then we’ll see where the wind blows us.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.

  1. After my hiatus I’m checking in here to find a lovely quote. Jacksonville (in the semi tropics) experiences rain every day now, and sometimes the wind whips my hair.
