Life in the Twenty-First Century

Gerry: Does Makiya have an email address?

Me: (incredulously, because she’s not even three yet) Uh no…

Gerry: Well how am I supposed to send her stuff then?

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.

  1. That’s funny! And when you are raised in today’s world, it makes perfect sense. Except for the being three, that is. 🙂

  2. Dear Linda,
I second what DJan said–the conversation makes perfect sense in today’s world. But oh, she’s only three!
    Peace.

  3. love it….that he even thought of sending an email…my hubby refuses to email and text…

    1. My hubby tries to text sometimes, mostly he gets frustrated by it though.

  4. I was surprised to see that my 3 year old granddaughter has an email set up for her. I haven’t asked my daughter what that’s all about yet. I guess they’re getting her ready for when she starts reading and writing.

    1. Maybe they wanted to reserve the email address? Great interview with Susan, by the way.

  5. DJan and Dee, it is a different world, isn’t it! Just think how different it is from that of our own parents and grandparents!

  6. A true notion!

LOVE that picture. She is so precious. (Like I have to tell you.)

    1. Thanks Janna! I’m just a little bit biased!
