May Day

Oh the beauty of a warm and sunny morning on the first day of May! The weather forecasters are predicting that records will be broken here today (high 20s C / low 80s F). This is the Kamloops we’ve been missing!

I stepped out on the deck right off of our bedroom early this morning and snapped a few photos; it was already warm out there.

I’m looking forward to a day of sunshine, gardens, photography, and a good measure of sitting-on-the-deck-with-a-book time.

Life is good in the retirement-hood!

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things.

  1. It looks like you have Florida weather without the humidity. Great! As I predicted, you would love retirement. Now that I’m deep into the memoir process, retirement is out the window for me. But I’m doing it because I love it!

    1. Ah…but you’re doing a work that you love and that makes all the difference, doesn’t it, Marian?! As for me, I do indeed love retirement. I am astounded every day how quickly the time passes by. There are always more things I want to do than there are hours in the day.
