“A garden to walk in and immensity to dream in–what more could he ask? A few flowers at his feet and above him the stars.”

~ Victor Hugo, Les Misérables

I visit the garden after a two-day absence and am awed by the change in such a short time.

Some things come in abundance, for others I wait. And wait. And even worry.

Some things are out of control. Messy.

I see there is much to be done; I come away frustrated.

The garden, again, a reflection of life.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.

  1. That macro lens focuses on abundance, a good thing to concentrate on in these days of uncertainty.

    1. Marian, you always speak (write) a good word in season–you do again here. Thank you.

  2. This is a beautiful photo. You give me strength. We’re in a mess down here, south of your border. Pray for us, please.
