Thou oughtest in every deed and thought so to order thyself, as if thou wert to die this day.

Thomas Kempis

There is the most brilliant red sunrise this morning.

It might be the last I ever see; or I may take pleasure in hundreds more.

It’s not for me to know the future so, instead, I look up and within and order my thoughts and my intention that I might bring glory to the One who created such splendour on this morning.

And it is well.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.

  1. Beautiful, Linda….True words of wisdom….

  2. We had a lovely sunset last night. I paused and stood by my back picture window for a bit, just enjoying it. I wish more people would take a moment to enjoy the view.

    1. Good for you, Karen. Taking those moments enriches our lives so much.
