“I don’t really like coffee, she said, but I don’t really like it when my head hits my desk when I fall asleep either.”

~ Brian Andreas

A man-cold is doing its darndest to move in. The essential oils are flowing.

The scourge of the plague, coupled with my own aching joints and restlessness, made for a long night where sleep was elusive. Coffee is certainly flowing this morning.

Today: I have no idea. Someone, please, just bring me another cup of coffee.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.

  1. Haha! Love this quote. I’ve been thinking I should forego coffee in the morning and start my day with tea. I’m having a hard time finding a roast that I like these days. But the head hitting the table — that would be me, I’m afraid.
