“Without darkness, nothing comes to birth, As without light, nothing flowers.”

~ May Sarton

Awake since 3:50am thanks to this dang time change. I wish we’d stop this nonsense.

It’s Monday and I find myself with unexpected time at home as our plans for a short trip this week fell through. It’s nice to go away sometimes but I appreciate the comfort of routine and the pleasure of fully inhabiting my home.

I’ve just spent the past hour or so writing what started out as a post for here but turned into something else. Writing does that sometimes. Those words have been copied elsewhere for another purpose on another day.

So, good morning! It’s Monday and possibility presents. What shall we do with it?

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.
