“Rest and be thankful.”

~ William Wordsworth.

Its Thanksgiving here in Canada. This morning my heart is filled with gratitude for many things including this beautiful land we call home. Yes, there are burdens, circumstances I wish were otherwise, but there are also blessings that far outweigh them.

Our Thanksgiving plans changed at the last minute which cause some angst but, in the end, we enjoyed a lovely day yesterday marking the occasion Gerry’s parents 73rd wedding anniversary.

Today, putting the garden to bed (yesterday I harvested the remaining beans–of which there were many!–and tomatoes in anticipation of a hard frost) and planting the garlic.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.
