“The monotony and solitude of a quiet life stimulates the creative mind.”

~ Albert Einstein

Home. A bit earlier than intended due to a winter storm warning (!) in Calgary. We enjoyed a busy and grand hockey-filled weekend but it’s good to be home where there’s no threat of snow. Yet.

I’m looking forward to settling in to routine this week. That, and apple pie. It’s October now and one must partake of pie (apple and pumpkin) in October.

This week: family time, camera time, kitchen time, planning time. Home time.

Simple happy.

A granddaughter’s laughter.

A grandson’s focus (he’s a goalie!).

The very best morning coffee in my own bed.

A taste of prairie.

Home.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.

  1. We’ve not had any “s-word” warnings yet. I’m hoping it stays away – I have a road trip in-state at the end of October.

    1. Let’s hope for a long and lovely fall, Karen.
