I never thought I’d do it, but I purchased, not one but two, Amazon Echo Dots on Black Friday, and they finally arrived yesterday. I asked around before I bought them, and people seemed to use them most often for listening to music. I wanted it to simplify our TV watching since I got a FireStick.
Well, guess what I’ve mostly been using it for so far? Yup. Music. Gerry said something to Alexa to get a beautiful piece of music yesterday afternoon during one of our daily chess games and further investigation revealed it was Ludovico Einaudi.
I’ve had the work of the Italian pianist and composer on most of the day today. (Peppered sith sessions of Vince Guaraldi’s Charlie Brown Christmas 🙂 ). Einaudi’s music is simply beautiful and I’m especially smitten with a piece called Experience. Here’s a video for your listening and viewing pleasure.
No, I don’t need the Echo to listen to Einaudi, but thanks to it, I discovered him. That’s well worth the price I paid for the Dot. That’s my story anyway.
