One Woman’s Day

Have you ever wished you could read about what a day in the life of your grandmother was like? Have you considered that on any given day some of us will experience great joy and others the deepest and darkest sorrow? Are you interested in the little, seemingly ordinary, events that shape our lives and direct our paths?

Those questions are the premise behind a new blog called One Woman’s Day that kicks off tomorrow.

The idea for this project came to me last summer when I was judging entries to Story Circle Networks Lifewriting competion and was struck with stories about how the events of an ordinary day can change and shape our lives forever. We have been working behind the scenes for the past few months putting the project into place; it’s exciting to finally be ready to kick it off!

We will post a minimum of once per week with posts written by members of the Story Circle Network. I hope you will visit often, or better yet subscribe by email, to read the stories about One Woman’s Day. And I would be ever-so-thankful if you would help us spread the word by posting the blog badge on your blogs and adding us to your blog roll.

Happy New Year!

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.

  1. I signed up!

  2. Happy to see you over there, Kat!

  3. Those moments that happen in ordinary lives can be the most extraordinary. I’d much rather read something that changed a person’s ordinary life than read the glorified life of a celebrity.
