Last week’s prompt for the Be Still – Fifty Two class was Organic. I found all manner of inspiration for this prompt at the garden this morning.
First order of business–for the class and for the garden–was to check out the peas! I picked the first pods of the season and, later at home, delved into the part of the lesson that involved creating a diptych of two like images.
Elsewhere in the garden, the sun was just kissing the tops of the Amish Deer Tongue lettuce leaves.
The Drunken Woman lettuce is almost too pretty to pick.
We’ve been eating the Tom Thumb lettuce for weeks now. Just a few heads left from this sowing; more to come!
The carrots are coming along.
The spinach is the crispest and tastiest ever!
All in all it was a good morning with time spent in the garden and another lesson crossed of the catch-up list. Now I’m off to enjoy the sunshine as it promises to be another warm summer-like day!

Mmmmm mmm delicious!!
