“No two gardens are the same. No two days are the same in one garden.”

Some things are winding down in the garden; others are still producing profusely. I’ve sensed a change for weeks. There’s no denying that autumn is just around the corner. The onions and garlic have been harvested and sit drying. The butternut, delicata, and spaghetti squash are ripening, Meanwhile we continue to feast on fresh picked tomatoes, cucumbers, kale, Swiss chard, sunburst squash, carrots, and peppers.

Looking forward to another fun and busy day with our granddaughter that will include a trip to the garden at some point.

(Don’t forget every comment on the blog in August enters your name into the drawing for either a copy of the beautiful Bella Grace magazine or my book Two Hearts: An Adoptee’s Journey Through Grief to Gratitude.)

Thanks so much for stopping by. I'm here early most mornings with one of my photos and a few words about life and those thin places where faith intersects.

    1. How wonderful to see you here, Karen! I admire your photography so much, it’s just beautiful.

  2. I never saw onions look quite so beautiful! How do you keep all your photos saved? You must have thousands and thousands at this point.

    1. I have an external hard drive where a store my Lightroom catalog and photos, like this one, that I’ve exported.

  3. Chiming in as the the third ‘Karen’ to comment on this post:) I’m catching up on your posts after being out of town for a few days. Your photos always have such great texture, as though I could feel the ribbed skin on those onions. So pretty.

  4. It’s nice that some of the ripening is staggered. You still have so much accomplished but it must be nice that it’s winding down a bit. Enjoy all that little girl has to offer.
