I sustain myself with the love of family.

 Maya Angelou

Blessed. Simply and abundantly blessed.

The kiddos are heading home today; in a few hours we’re going to experience that heaviest of silences that permeates the house after the grands have been here. It’s  not my favourite kind of silence.

In these early morning hours, while my family still slumbers, I look back over the past few days with deep gratitude, remembering laughter, games, food, conversation, and just being together.

Simple happy. So, so, happy.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I'm here early most mornings with one of my photos and a few words about life and those thin places where faith intersects.
