“This is a wonderful day, I have never seen this one before.”

~ Maya Angelou

Lately I feel the weight of life heavy and remind myself this morning that these next twenty-four hours will be wonder filled if I chose to see them that way.

Yesterday morning I saw the first crocus in my flower garden poking through. That was a moment of wonder, delight, and hope.

The sunshine yesterday was a blessing and a mood-booster. I don’t think there will be much of it today so I will look for figurative sunshine elsewhere.

I consider what one small thing I can do to make this world better for me having been here today. I will do that. And maybe one more.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.

  1. Thank you for this lovely refreshing quote. We have bushes flowers and trees in bloom, a full month ahead of schedule and they have helped lift our spirits, too.

  2. This blog earned a Bean Pat as blog pick of the day. Check it out at http://patbean.wordpress.com

    1. Pat, thank you so much!

  3. These are lovely thoughts, Linda…as always. And I love all your florals! I’ve been heavy hearted lately, but still glad I have a voice and the will to use it. And I’ve decided to start blogging again, something I’ve let slip with all my other activities.

    1. Thank you, Karen. I’m glad you’re going to resume blogging! Looking forward to reading your words again.
