Saturday Gratitude

On Saturday I was thankful:

  1. to Skype with my granddaughter
  2. to receive an email from my daughter with two YouTube links to videos of Makiya
  3. for time spent sitting in the hot tub chatting with my husband
  4. for chevre goat cheese and crackers
  5. for those darn red velvet cookies that somehow followed me home

Simple things, important things, lasting things. (with the exception of the red velvet cookies, I hope!)

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.

  1. simple things are the best…

    1. It’s true, isn’t it Deb.

  2. Oh isn’t Skype wonderful! If I didn’t have that to talk with my sweet little boop, I don’t know what I’d do – this last time, she was old enough and knew me enough that the visit was even more wonderful!

    1. That’s awesome, Kat! Only us grandma’s can really appreciate what that means to us!

  3. Isn’t it funny how much love gets packed into the very simplest of things?

    1. The older I get the more I find that I appreciate the simple things.
