I love this cloud photo Gerry snapped a couple of weeks ago. Weather has been unseasonably warm this winter. In fact, I noticed last weekend that my crocus’ are up!
Now, they’re calling for snow this evening and tomorrow. Things get crazy around here when it snows so it’s a good time for me to hunker down with books, quilts, knitting, and other home comforts. Hubby is away this weekend so the girls and I are holding down the fort. I’m guessing there will be some Hallmark movies playing this evening.
Sharing the Love
Today, I’m sharing links to some blogs I’ve been enjoying. It’s a diverse and interesting mix I bring to you today.
First, a couple of selections about writing.
Helen Ginger at Straight From Hel has a link to a very good article about Amazon’s self-publishing arm, CreateSpace. More and more writers are choosing to bypass the traditional agent/publishing house path and adopt a DIY approach where they maintain control of their work.
Shirley Showalter shares a video of a query critique by Marla Miller, columnist for The Writer magazine.
In a different vein, I’m loving some of the new rural living blogs I’ve come across recently.
Rural Revival is about “a city girl, an old home and a new way.”
Jayme at Tales from the Coop Keeper has beautiful photos, tales about her chickens, and entertaining stories about her everyday life.
Finally, I’ve taken a liking to some of the home decorating and crafting blogs. Pinterest takes credit for this slight diversion from my regular focus.
dottie angel is amazing. I like her simple approach to decorating.
A Stroll Thru Life is filled with eye candy and inspiration for things around the home.
