Simple Happy

“Out of clutter, find simplicity.”

New week. Fresh start.

I stopped using the page on the left in my journal some time ago because I preferred the freshness of the clean page on the right. Also because I’ve reached an age where I felt I could. Funny that.

A while ago I started using the left page to jot down quotes that spoke to me in books I was reading and to maintain a running list I call Simple Happy. It’s just a list of ordinary things that delight me in that moment.

This morning:

  • Blue sky and sunshine
  • Coffee in bed
  • A husband who tends to things like, yet another, chip in the windshield. (I’ve lost count of how many windshields we’ve replaced in this vehicle. I’m convinced there’s a design flaw with this vehicle that causes rocks to land at just the right angle to cause damage.)

Happy Monday. Happy fresh start.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.

  1. Nothing better than a clean, unwritten on, fresh, flat, unwrinkled page! 🙂

    1. Glad to hear I’m not the only one who appreciates it!
