Summer. At last.

What a beautiful week it has turned out to be.

Summer finally arrived bringing with her reasonably warm temperatures and sunshine and we’ve soaked it up with Daughter and Granddaughter who are visiting.

Our backyard project leaped ahead with the installation of privacy barriers where the tall cedars once stood. Now we’re moving on to the fun stuff: landscaping.

There’s been an abundance of simple happy.

The garden growing and feeding us.

Flowers blooming and making things beautiful.

Fragrant sweet peas in a small glass vase on the dining table.

Granddaughter reading to us from her latest writing projects.

Board games.

Roll kuchen.

Burgers and hot dogs.

Potato chips and ice cream.

Salads.

Hiking. (Gerry and Daughter loved it. Granddaughter and I will choose a less strenuous visit to the coffee shop next time. ?)

Hugs. Laughter.

Family.

Grace.

Next week we will return to regularly scheduled programming with hearts full.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things.
