I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.
My Mennonite parents never, never worked on Sunday, unless Mmom had a dinner for friends or relatives and I helped.
This morning was church and before that a roomful of energetic 2-year-olds, one of whom hit me over the head with a building block and thought it funny. I took a nap, but that was after grocery shopping. Laundry is in progress also. But the burdens have some buoyancy to them. My sister arrives Wednesday. Then I will play a little.
Oh those 2-Year-olds! Sounds like a necessary busy and productive day with a pause to worship. Seasons change, as do our lives, and sometimes it’s necessary. Intentionally taking time to spend time with the Creator is key though. I know you agree. Happy Monday and new week, Marian.
Sunday, on the farm, was always a day of rest. Such wisdom. Yes, rest well…
Hope you had a restful Sunday, Mary Jo.

Rest? Not sure.
