“Sabbath observance invites us to stop. It invites us to rest. It asks us to notice that while we rest, the world continues without our help. It invites us to delight in the world’s beauty and abundance.”

~Wendell Berry

Today we will gather with our church family and then, perhaps, a lazy Sunday afternoon with a book and my camera.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.
  1. I just recently discovered the prodigious works of writer/farmer Wendell Berry. What a talent!

The quote today hits the spot: church, family, then a double birthday party. Feel blessed!

    1. Your day sounds perfect, Marian! Wishing you a Happy Birthday today.
