Begin again the story of your life.”~ Jane Hirshfield, The Lives of the Heart
I came across the words “begin again” in a book recently and they stuck with me; then again, in a poem I read this morning.
Begin again. And again. As often as need be. Encouraging, yes?

(Don’t forget every comment on the blog in August enters your name into the drawing for either a copy of the beautiful Bella Grace magazine or my book Two Hearts: An Adoptee’s Journey Through Grief to Gratitude.)

You always share such great quotes. I really love this one.
I love this quote, too. So encouraging.
I think I shall “begin again” my memoir writing after the Big Move . . . after I regain my strength to sally forth. New beginnings – refreshing!
Oh my yes, you deserve a rest after the Big Move! I love that phrase to “sally forth”!
Thank you! I certainly “began again the story of my life” when I got married for the first time at age 62. I became an instant step-mom/friend to seven adult children and 15 step grands. I began again, day after day, in classes. I begin again every time I work with a writing client online. After Mikko McPuppers went to T-Bone Heaven, I began again with his honorary younger brother, Eddie McPuppers. And this is the proverbial tip of the ice berg.

So many beginnings, Lynn! Isn’t it wonderful to know we always have an opportunity to begin again?
I can’t imagine the new beginning of marrying for the first time at age 62. What an adjustment!
