Thursday, August 23, 2018 – Smoky Thursday

It’s the steady, quiet, plodding ones who win in the lifelong race.

The smoke is back. I’m thankful that I was intentional about being outside yesterday.

Today: a delivery and setup, some running around, and planning and prep.

Just your typical day in the retireehood.

I’m ready for some typical days.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.
  1. Cliff’s relatives in Washington state are enduring similar, smoky air. We pray for rain and cooler temps. Yes?

    1. Yes, indeed.

  2. We have had a lot of smoke here, Minot, ND. Nearly every day for the last week or so. I keep thinking about all those affected in California and other states and in Canada. Praying for all these families and towns every day.

  3. We’ve had the worst smoky air ever experienced in Canada, and yesterday, we were alerted that air quality is the worst in the world. All due to the fires in our province. Where is the rain we usually get in this ‘rain forest’ country?
