“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost..”~ J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
I’ve been awake since a ridiculous hour. The stillness of morning an opportunity to reflect on all manner of things, ensuring that I won’t fall back asleep, so I give in to my wakefulness.
I pray, read, wrangle words, make plans, change plans, wrestle with pain in my back, and wonder if it’s too early to grind beans for coffee.
The day begins.

I run out of words to describe your incredible photos, Linda.
Thanks so much for your encouraging words, Karen.
Never too early to grind beans for coffee! I was awake once this week at about 2:00 am…I did not have to grind, but I did make coffee. I figured as long as I was wide awake, I may as way get productive. But it stinks when I have to go to work that day and then I start to hit the wall around lunchtime.
One of the greatest blessings of this stage in my life is not having to get up and go to work after a sleepless night. I remember that torture very well!
It’s never too early for coffee . Have you tried yoga for your back . Please don’t freak out and think I’m talking mumbo jumbo . Check out Barbra Curry dvds really gentle yoga and it does reduce stiffness have a go .

Thank you, Cherry. While I do have a back issue, that’s not what’s sidelined me right now,
