My little space here on the web has grown and changed, as I have, since I published the first post back in 2007.
Back then I was a Business Analyst living near Seattle, Washington: busy, stressed, and trying to decide what I wanted to be when I grew up.
Somehow, while I was working crazy long hours I managed to write a memoir about my journey, as an adoptee, to find that most-elusive thing I wanted most of all: family. (Boundaries. It took boundaries, tenacity, and a good measure of Starbucks coffee.)
Then I retired from my corporate job and life got good. Now, I live in beautiful British Columbia, Canada with my husband (Gerry) and our doted-upon Yorkshire terrier (Maya). I’m a somewhat-fanatical grandma finding great fulfillment in my garden, in my kitchen, at my writing desk, and behind my camera (also sipping grande caramel macchiatos on Friday afternoons with my bestie).
I post early every morning: a quote I like, one of my photographs, and a few words about . . . well about anything that might be on my mind at that particular time.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you’ll come often. And if you’re inclined to leave a comment, well that would be simply lovely and much appreciated.
Linda
“The physical eye is meant to say to the spiritual eye, ‘Not this, but the Maker of this, is the desire of your soul.’”
~ John Piper, A Peculiar Glory

What a journey, Linda, not an easy one but so well worth it, first for you and then for so many others, like me, who have resonated with your journey’s growth. Hugs!
Thank you for your kind words, Mary Jo. I have so appreciated your gentle encouragement over the years.
