When the green woods laugh with the voice of joy,
And the dimpling stream runs laughing by;
When the air does laugh with our merry wit,
And the green hill laughs with the noise of it;
~ William Blake
Green is the beautiful colour of the season as the grass starts growing again and the trees begin to leaf up. It seems even brighter this year after, what seemed like, a never-ending winter. Our landscapers have resumed their weekly visits to mow the lawns in our community; I’m doing the daily dance of moving my tomato and pepper plants outside for a while every day to harden them in preparation for planting in a few weeks; I bought bedding plants for my flower pots the other day; and we watch the hillside across the valley turn greener day by day.
It’s all glorious!
Today, we travel to spend time with my mother-in-love. It’s beautiful and sunny outside my window now, I hope the weather holds so we can enjoy it when we get home later this afternoon. I’d like to dig in the dirt a bit and plant the echinops I bought the other day. We’ll see.

I hope you have a wonderful visit. We are enjoying sunshine after two days of pretty much non-stop rain.
Oh, the sunshine must be such a welcome treat after the rain!
Such joy I get from reading your blog Linda! Always puts me in a state of awe and calm! I read it almost everyday as I eat my lunch at work. I especially liked today’s post – expressing much excitement about the spring of the year. It is snowing here today. Yes – an never-ending winter.
Ruth, what a joy it is to hear from you! Looking forward to seeing you, hopefully this summer.
The trees are starting to bud around here, and I find this time of year so energizing. Just a bunch of budding trees, and I feel renewed!
I am right there with you, Karen. So glad spring is beginning to show up for you at last!
