Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

After a transition day in which my girls went home and I put the house back in order (in preparation for it going out-of-order), a new day begins.

It’s demo day as the work to install new flooring and carpet begins. I challenge myself: look for the gifts amidst the upcoming mess. I don’t do well with chaos so a challenge it will be.

Stay tuned.

Simple happy.

The fragrant hyacinth on my kitchen windowsill.

Phone calls from my granddaughter on the road home.

Leftovers in the freezer.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.
