“Weeds are flowers too, once you get to know them.”

~ A.A. Milne

Here’s a few picked-from-the-side-of-the-road wildflowers. Easily missed, rarely appreciated, yet uniquely beautiful.

So quiet here this morning.

Housework this morning and easing back into post-grandchild-visit routine. Sigh. Looking forward to picking up my camera for some play time later.

(Don’t forget every comment on the blog in August enters your name into the drawing for either a copy of the beautiful Bella Grace magazine or my book Two Hearts: An Adoptee’s Journey Through Grief to Gratitude.)

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.

  1. Love the quote! And, I do love A. A. Milne. Such pretty flowers indeed.

  2. Weeds are flowers too. Just ask Ian with a photo to prove he presented his elder Great Aunt with pretty pink posies, the roots dangling dirt.

I can tell you think of camera work as play. 🙂
