Be willing to be a beginner every single morning.

 Meister Eckhart

And so . . . we begin again.

This morning, the sun is shining and a familiar fog leviathan is snaking its way through the valley. The sun, the beautiful sun, makes everything better. It makes it slushy and dirty at this time of year too, but that’s necessary as we—please, oh please!—inch ever closer to spring.

We have to plod through some slush sometimes to get to the gifts. In fact, it’s often in the midst of the slush where we find unexpected treasures. I read some wise words about this very thing this morning and I tucked them away to share with you later this week.

In a while I’ll head out for (yet another) appointment. I’m hoping for some writing time later. We’ll see.

Meanwhile, I wish you a peaceful day.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I'm here early most mornings with one of my photos and a few words about life and those thin places where faith intersects.
