Be thou never without something to do; be reading, or writing, or praying, or meditating, or doing something that is useful to the community.

Thomas Kempis, The Imitation of Christ

Snow and rain continues, with an emphasis on snow. My crocuses must be so confused; I know I am.

Enjoying a pedicure (one of my favourite things in the world) with my bestie makes the snowy days more bearable.

Today, busyness and a need to be in town for a good part of the day makes this early morning solitude and silence all the sweeter.

Simple happy.

A pedicure.

A fixed dishwasher.

Lasagne the second day.

Waking around 4ish.

Home days.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.

  1. This is one of the most beautiful flowers I’ve ever seen. I’m sorry I’ve not made it to every one of your posts lately, but – I’m not going to make excuses – I’ve been BUSY. 🙂 Love you, Linda. Even though I don’t always comment, I always look.

    1. No apologies necessary, Karen. I hope your season of busy has been, and continues to be, a good one. I also hope spring starts to make the start of an appearance soon for you. 🙂
