It was such a pleasure to sink one’s hands into the warm earth, to feel at one’s fingertips the possibilities of the new season.”
Kate Morton, The Forgotten Garden
Today, we garden.
We’ll start with just a few tasks that won’t take too long: uncovering the garlic, spreading manure, and preparing the beds in preparation to plant.
There is such promise, such hope, such anticipation in the garden at the start of the season.
There are so many lessons to be learned, so much delicious organic produce to be feasted on, so many hours of sweet solitude and silence to enjoy.
Abundance.
And it all starts today.
