“I’ve long since stopped feeling guilty about taking being time; it’s something we all need for our spiritual health, and often we don’t take enough of it.”

~ Madeleine L’Engle, Walking on Water: Reflections on Faith and Art

I’m taking a day today. I’m building boundaries around a block of hours and using the time wisely.

Being, but also listening.

Mostly listening.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.

  1. I’ve read Madeleine L’Engle’s book on writing. I have also noticed that the movie of her legendary book A Wrinkle in Time will come out in a new version soon.

    1. It’s a good one isn’t it, Marian? I’m taking my time with it. In fact, today’s post was going to be about something I gleaned from reading this book but my writing took me deeper and I moved over to my private journal to explore it farther. Love it when that happens.
