Yesterday afternoon it got dark and storm blew in. Having spent the morning doing housework I was looking forward to some photography time so the passing of the light was disappointing. I decided to see what I could do with what little light remained anyway. It turned out that I really liked the dark and moody look of my photos–especially after applying one of Kim Klassen’s Lightroom presets. (Have I mentioned that I’ve just started a new class with Kim called The Studio 2.O?)
After playing with photos for a while I used the apples to make an apple crisp. Oh how cozy it was with the smell of the baking apples and the deluge of rain coming down outside. Just a wonderful afternoon!
Today, weather permitting, I’ll do a bit of garden cleanup.

It was. Just perfect.
I really love this dark and stormy look, too. It has depth to it. Storms are so much fun, so cozy and powerful and wild all at once.
