Tulip Time

So much beauty unfolding in the spring and it’s a delight to slow down enough to watch it happen. These beautiful dark coloured tulips are blooming in my yard now.

Adding a few props never hurts!

I’m loving Kim Klassen’s Be Still | One Year [Wiser] class that I’m taking this year. So much inspiration and so many talented photographers to learn from. Serendipitously we’re even touching on things, other than photography, that are just what I need in this moment.

(These images were processed in Lightroom with Kim Klassen’s kk_breeze preset.)

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.
  1. Your photography just continues to get better. Thanks for the link.

    1. Thank you, Christine. It’s a treat to have time to practice more often these days.

  2. I love how you experiment with simple, beautiful objects, lighting, situations, settings, etc. These tulips are beautiful. I love the color.

    1. Thanks so much, Karen. It’s a joy to have the time to finally play at things I enjoy. Viva retirement!
