Since we celebrated Christmas a few weeks ago with the grands, our actual Christmas will be quiet and low key. Just the way I like it.

The older I get, the more I appreciate simplicity.
We found this beautiful nativity at Fred Meyer a few weeks ago. Doesn’t it look like solid wood? I was as surprised as anyone when Gerry told me it was actually ceramic! I love it though.
Aren’t they cute? They were a Christmas gift last year.

It works out well for us to celebrate early with the kids and grands and then enjoy a quiet Christmas. I’m sure that will all change when we retire and move closer to them, but for now it’s wonderful! Christmas Blessings to you too, Kathy!

Your Mary & Joseph is beautiful. I might be tempted to keep it out year round. I appreciate simplicity too. Hauling in boxes and boxes of Christmas stuff from the garage has sort of lost its appeal. If it weren’t for the kids…

We have a number of Christmas gatherings to go yet, but for many years the holidays have been as much about quiet reflection as they have been celebration.
