“I’ll love you forever,
I’ll like you for always,
As long as I’m living,
my baby you’ll be.”

This book creeps me out a little bit but I appreciate the sentiment. Yesterday I basked in spending good, albeit short, time with my kids and granddaughter. Simply the best.

I loved my granddaughter’s reaction when we went with her mom to pick her up from dance class. There’s nothing like a little girl running toward you calling “Grandma!” and falling into your arms for a special hug to make you feel on top of the world. Pair that with hugs and conversation with my kids over dinner lately and you can colour me a happy mamma.

Today, granddaughter in tow, we head back home for a week of grand shenanigans. Bliss.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.

  1. It’s the best thing. Enjoy!!

  2. I am so happy you have that sweet grand-daughter to keep you company. Maybe she can induce you to skip a day of blogging – or write one for you. Whatever – ENJOY!

  3. I know what you mean…when I walk into the kids’ house and I hear “MoMo!”

    1. The best!
