There were many moments of silence as we visited with my mother-in-love yesterday. It was not one of her better days.
Still, there was music
- in the few words she spoke
- in the moments when her eyes met ours
- in her hands reaching for our dog
- in my husband helping her with lunch
- in moments of silent prayer
